The AX65 earned permanent space in my truck because the combination of jump power and onboard air has already solved the two kinds of problems I bought it for. It started my truck eight or nine miles from pavement after I killed the battery, later started a friend’s Silverado, and the inflator gave me a low-stakes way to learn the unit before either jump mattered. The compromise is not the concept; it is the frustratingly short battery leads, which can make awkward terminal layouts harder to reach than they should be.
