A tall leather mountain-hunting boot built on an extra-wide, extra-depth last, with a PU midsole, H20-Tech membrane and Vibram outsole.
WHAT MATTERS
Extra width and depth
A generously shaped last provides additional toe space and internal depth.
PU midsole
PU midsole construction forms the supportive platform specified for the Super Wide.
Leather and membrane build
Perwanger leather and the H20-Tech membrane pair a substantial upper with weather protection.
Vibram outsole
A Vibram outsole supplies the boot’s ground-contact platform.
GTW TAKE
“
A substantial mountain boot for genuinely extra-wide feet
The Super Wide makes sense when conventional mountain boots leave too little forefoot space or depth. Its 4E sizing, tall leather build and PU platform address a specific fit need, with a clear cost in weight and price. At a nominal four pounds per pair, it deserves a careful indoor fit check before a long hunt. This assessment is based on the documented design, not GTW field testing.
Best considered for hunters who need extra width and volume in a structured boot.
Four-pound nominal pair weight is a meaningful tradeoff for high-mileage walking.
The base boot is distinct from Super Wide Warm and from any separately purchased custom fitting system.
