The Cosmic Down 40 makes sense when you stop asking a summer sleeping bag to prepare you for every possible forecast. At 1.63 pounds with 550-fill down, it gives mild-weather campers and backpackers a reasonably light traditional sleeping bag without requiring premium ultralight pricing or a quilt-style sleep system.
