The Deck Sandal earns its role around boats, docks, and camp because the outsole and footbed are designed for wet surfaces while the simple sandal format stays easy to kick on and off. The cushioned back strap and non-marking grip make it more purpose-built than a generic flip-flop without becoming an enclosed water shoe. Rocky approaches and hiking require more foot protection.
